Arouca and FC Porto will play on a new date due to safety conditions. The Portuguese League issued a statement explaining the decision. The change was supported by the Competition Regulations, which consider the absence of minimum safety conditions as a force majeure. The League clarifies that the decision was made after a face-to-face meeting with the President of the Arouca City Council, representatives of the two Sports Societies and public authorities. Looking back, the League explains that the meeting took place on September 8, at the Arouca City Council. The League also refers that the decision had an impact on the realization of the FC Famalicão-Rio Ave FC match, previously scheduled for September 29. So, the Portuguese League resorted to the same Regulations to reschedule the match. Arouca seeks better performance in the next round. Arouca's coach, Armando Evangelista, should make adjustments to the team. But, the FC Porto team is strong and has experienced players, such as Pepe and Otávio. Arouca needs a win to climb the standings.
