Arouca started its preseason this Thursday, with coach Vasco Seabra having few changes in the squad. The goalkeeper Martim Duarte, ex-Amarante, is the only new face in the team.

Who are the new signings?

Arouca renewed with some of its main assets, such as Ignacio de Arruabarrena, Javi Sánchez and Pablo Gozálbez. In addition, the club signed Mateo Flores on a permanent deal, who was already part of the squad last season, on loan from Betis.

What does the general manager say?

Joel Pinho confirmed that the signing of Si-hoo Park, an 18-year-old South Korean prospect, is imminent. «He's a player who can reach a very high level. I don't want him to have the responsibility of coming here and asserting himself right away — it may take time —, but with his potential, he can help a lot already this year», he emphasized.

What is the goal for the season?

Captain Tiago Esgaio assumes as «clear objective» to achieve a better classification. «When I arrived, the club had just been promoted to the League. The most important thing was to stabilize in the top division and that was achieved, but Arouca is a more ambitious club, that's what we try to pass on to those who arrive. We will fight for something good this year.»
