Benfica's SAD was fined almost €20,000 for the incident involving the burned-out TV cables that prevented the transmission of the final minutes of the game against Arouca. The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation fined the red-and-whites €10,750 for the transmission cable repair and an additional €7,650 for the fire that burned the cable, a chair, and a publicity banner. The red-and-whites also received other fines that exceeded €4,500 for the ignition of pyrotechnics, the invasion of the field by a fan after the 2-1 win by Benfica, and insults directed at the referee of the game. It is worth noting that the red-and-whites had already received other fines related to the Arouca match: €10,200 for a fan throwing a chair onto the field, the same amount applied to Mário Branco, general director, who was also suspended for 30 days and €7,650 for no member of the club attending the post-game quick interviews.
